Job Type: Full-timeWe are seeking a Quality Engineer or a graduate looking to pursue a career in Quality Engineering to join a well renowned manufacturer. Reporting to the Factory Manager, this role is pivotal in driving continuous manufacturing processes and is an excellent opportunity for a professional who is keen to make a measurable impact on business performance by upholding the highest standards of quality engineering and process control.
Day-to-day of the role:
Conduct process audits to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate and support focused improvement activities to reduce Cost of Quality and improve First Pass Yield (FPY).
Prepare Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for submission to the Factory Manager.
Assist in reviewing and updating procedures and forms to support the Quality Management System.
Facilitate customer complaint investigations and work with the supply chain on supplier corrective actions.
Oversee the calibration of all measurement devices.
Facilitate audits from external regulatory bodies (e.g., ISO9001) and third-party inspectors.
Facilitate internal non-conformance report reviews throughout the hose department.
Support new product development introductions and undertake product First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR).Required Skills & Qualifications:
A qualification in Quality or Engineering.
Knowledgeable about manufacturing processes with the ability to find and develop engineered solutions.
Excellent communication skills, essential for liaising with internal and external stakeholders including employees, customers, and suppliers.
A team player who demonstrates maturity, independent thinking, flexibility, creativity, and the ability to work to tight deadlines when required.
Strong analytical and excellent IT skills (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
Familiarity with ISO 9001 and Quality Management Systems.
Experience in internal auditing.
Knowledge of problem-solving/engineering/continuous improvement processes (Lean manufacturing, 5Y, FMEA).
Close attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.Benefits:
