Quality Engineer

to join our well-established client based in

Dudley

on a

full-time permanent basis.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop your career within a skilled production and quality environment, supporting continuous improvement and high manufacturing standards. Hours of Work:

Full-time, Monday – Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm | Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm Salary:

£38,000 – £45,000 per annum (depending on experience) Why Work With This Client? Permanent, full-time position

Day-to-Day Duties Perform inspections on fabricated, welded, machined, and finished components using both manual and CMM inspection methods

Compile

FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports)

for goods prior to despatch in accordance with company QMS procedures

Raise

Non-Conformance

and

Corrective Action

reports when required

Maintain calibration controls and recall schedules for inspection tools and equipment

Report defects and quality issues to the Production/Quality Manager prior to despatch

Complete and verify Certificates of Conformance documentation

Attend customer sites when required to support technical discussions and quality reviews

Assist with occasional rework, assembly, or fabrication support tasks when needed

Essential Skills Minimum HNC qualification in an Engineering discipline

Strong ability to read and interpret technical and engineering drawings

Skilled in manual inspection techniques (e.g. micrometers, verniers, gauges)

Knowledge of fabrication, welding, machining, and material production processes

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook

Experience with overhead crane operation and slinging

Full, clean UK driving licence

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Ability to work independently and take initiative

Desirable Skills Previous experience in engineering inspection roles

Experience using

Faro Arm

or other portable CMM devices

Basic CMM programming knowledge is advantageous

Training and Development On-the-job training on company-specific inspection and quality systems

Ongoing support from the Production & Quality Management team
