Due to internal promotion, Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA), one of the UKs leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers, are currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join our team. Joining our team, you will Manage and improve the Non-Conformance register and maintain low NCR dwell time. Instigate and participate in root cause analysis, using tools such as; 3Cs, 5WHYs and 8Ds. Youll assist in maintaining Nadcap and our customer accreditations. Perform internal audits as well as quality spot checks of in-progress work. Data handling and analysis for use both internally and externally. What are we looking for? Joining us as an experienced Quality Engineer, you will have a strong understanding of quality and inspections procedures. Educated to degree level in a science & engineering discipline or similar, you will be a team player with great organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. Day to day youre going to be a point of contact for quality across the business and a key player in meeting business KPIs. Quality requirements in the industry are always evolving, therefore prior experience of quality systems (preferably ISO9001, AS9100, AS13100, Nadcap) is essential. A lot of your role will centre around continuous improvement, with reviewing and updating or implementing changes, giving you an opportunity to take some real pride in your work.
