We're looking for a passionate and proactive Quality Engineer to join our growing team. About the Role
As a Quality Engineer, you'll be at the centre of our operations - collaborating across departments to analyse data, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions. You'll ensure compliance with industry standards and play a key role in maintaining our high-quality manufacturing performance.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and enhance production processes through effective root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Track, analyse, and report on key quality metrics (defect rates, scrap, rework, complaints).
Investigate in-process quality issues and support decisions on rework, scrap, or use-as-is.
Collaborate with Production and Engineering to resolve recurring quality concerns.
Maintain and manage the calibration system for all inspection and measurement tools.
Conduct daily checks on route cards and ensure timely closure of work orders.
Train and support production teams in quality standards, procedures, and inspections.
Carry out surface measurements during first-off, in-process, and final inspections.
Support supplier qualification, audits, and performance evaluations.
Ensure ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and other regulatory standards.
✅ What We're Looking For
Previous experience in a Quality Assurance or Inspection role within an engineering/manufacturing setting.
Sound knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and other quality management systems.
Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and understand tolerancing.
Proficient with precision inspection tools: verniers, micrometers, gauges, etc.
Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
Excellent time management and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Confident communicator - both written and verbal.
Detail-oriented with a proactive, hands-on approach.
Good IT skills, including MS Word, Excel, Outlook; MRP experience is a bonus.
Solid awareness of Health & Safety practices in a production environment.
