Job Description

Quality Engineer – Infrastructure Manufacturer

Location: Swadlincote

Salary: £40,000 - £42,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

Holidays: 23 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct inspections and testing of plastic fabricated products to ensure they meet specifications
  • Lead root cause analysis and drive corrective/preventive action initiatives
  • Support continuous improvement activities to enhance product quality and reduce waste
  • Manage documentation related to quality standards, audits, and certifications
  • Liaise with production, engineering, and customer service teams to resolve quality issues
  • Assist in preparing for and conducting internal and external audits


Requirements

  • Proven experience in a Quality Engineer role, ideally within plastic fabrication, manufacturing, or a related industry
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems, standards, and methodologies (e.g., ISO 9001, lean manufacturing principles)
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments
  • Attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality management
