Due to an increase in work, we're seeking a Quality Engineer to join our leading client in Newcastle to take the lead in supplier engagement and be the bridge between projects and quality. The business are a leading manufacturer delivering projects for offshore/ subsea projects and are looking for someone to be part of the Quality Engineering Team and will be required to work with Supplier and internal staff to investigate and address NCR's raised. Interested candidates will ideally be Time Served /Qualified in an engineering discipline with a demonstrable background within Quality Engineering with a broad understanding of manufacturing processes including Fabrication, Machining and Assembly. Candidates with experience in welding inspection would be advantageous This position is based on days and available for an immediate start. Responsibilities Conduct supplier visits inspections to ensure parts and assemblies are carried out to specifications and drawings. Technical review of material certification and traceability, welding/NDT records, dimensional records etc. Review schedule at vendors for expediting purposes and report to Projects.
