Quality Engineer

Carmichael UK are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer to work on the HS2 project in the Buckingham area.
This is a long-term opportunity on one of the UK’s largest infrastructure projects, supporting the delivery of key structural works.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain the project’s Quality Management System.
Carry out audits in line with the Audit Schedule and close out findings.
Review and manage Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), including those of subcontractors.
Support delivery teams to achieve progressive sign-off of ITPs.
Inspect delivered materials and manage certification and approvals.
Review Lifetime Quality Records and assist with handover packages.
Provide training and mentoring on quality processes.
Investigate NCRs, identify trends, and drive corrective actions.
Skills & Experience:
Proven experience as a Quality Engineer on civil engineering or structures projects.
Strong knowledge of quality systems, audits, and inspection processes.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and support project teams.
HS2 or major infrastructure project experience desirable
