Up to £35,000 depending on experience plus excellent benefits package and an early finish on a Friday.
Our client an American owned manufacturing facility are looking to recruit an experience R&D Project Engineer to join their small but dynamic team based closed to Alfreton, Derbyshire.
As a Research and Development Project Engineer you will be responsible for conducting design, development and test work on projects for heating appliances.
The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and have a proactive “can-do” attitude.
Activities include for the R&D Project Engineer:

* Hands on testing, development & design in accordance with International Standards.
* Hands on light fabrication model making occasionally required.
* Problem solving and delivering innovative technical solutions in a timely manner.
* Client liaison, report preparation and presentation to customers both on site and video conferencing.
* Report writing & Presentations: Powerpoint / Spreadsheets.
* Occasional UK & Overseas travel when needed.
Qualifications and Experience for the R&D Project Engineer:

* Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in engineering or a scientific discipline.
* Time served Engineering apprenticeship with a minimum of 5 yrs experience .
* Knowledge or experience with Domestic or light Commercial gas appliances is highly advantageous.
* Basic fabrication skills also an advantage.
* Full driving licence.
