About The Role
We're seeking an engineer to join our elite AI R&D team. You'll be responsible for building AI systems that can perform previously impossible tasks, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in our field. As an R&D Engineer, you'll work at the intersection of cutting-edge AI research and practical applications that serve millions of users. You will be responsible for building AI systems that can perform previously impossible tasks or achieve unprecedented levels of performance. The most impactful advances in AI through novel approaches that others haven't yet discovered.
What You'll Do
- Build breakthrough AI Products - Design and implement novel AI solutions that solve complex problems
- Research and experiment - Stay at the forefront of AI developments, identifying and testing emerging technologies before they become mainstream. Make accurate predictions about which technologies will drive the next wave of innovation and build for that reality.
- Rapidly prototype and iterate - Move quickly from theoretical concepts to working demonstrations that prove new capabilities and business value.
- Scale cutting-edge research - Work with massive datasets and distributed systems to bring research breakthroughs into production systems used by enterprise clients.
- Collaborate across teams - Partner with product engineering and solutions teams to integrate novel AI capabilities into our core platform.
- Interface with leadership - Present findings and recommendations directly to C-suite executives, influencing company strategy and product direction.
What we need
- You have experience building AI systems from research concepts to working prototypes
- You're comfortable working with experimental technologies, incomplete documentation, and beta tools
- You can write production-quality code in Python and work with modern AI/ML frameworks
- You have experience with multiple AI technologies including LLMs, traditional ML, and emerging architectures
- You're inherently curious about cutting-edge developments and can make informed predictions about technology trends
- You can context-switch between high-level strategy and detailed implementation
- You thrive in small team environments where your individual contributions have immediate, visible impact
Bonus Points
- Experience with talent acquisition, workforce analytics, or marketplace technologies
- Background in distributed systems and massive-scale machine learning
- Track record of identifying and successfully implementing emerging technologies before widespread adoption
- Experience in client-facing or consulting role

An Invisible Talent Acquisition Partner can provide more information on which locations are included in each of our geographic pay tiers during the interview process. For candidates outside the U.S., compensation will be adjusted to reflect local market conditions and cost-of-living differentials.
Bonuses and equity are included in offers above entry level. Final compensation is determined by a combination of factors, including location, job-related experience, skills, knowledge, internal pay equity, and overall market conditions. Because of this, every offer is unique. Additional details on total compensation and benefits will be discussed during the hiring process.
