Service Engineer - Refrigeration & HVAC Location: Glasgow Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 DOE Hours: 40 per week About the Role We are working with a leading refrigeration and HVAC solutions provider to recruit an experienced Service Engineer for their Glasgow team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established organisation at the forefront of refrigeration technology. You will be responsible for carrying out maintenance, service, repair and commissioning work on refrigeration, air conditioning, and process plant equipment across a wide range of customer sites. You will act as a technical expert, diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring plant operates at peak efficiency, and delivering excellent service to customers. Key Responsibilities Service, maintain, repair, and commission refrigeration, air conditioning, and process plant equipment. Conduct detailed fault diagnosis (electrical and mechanical) and provide accurate technical reports. Liaise with customers to ensure satisfaction and identify future opportunities. Complete work reports and timesheets promptly to support timely invoicing. Oversee on-site installation projects and commission new equipment. Supervise and support apprentices, providing on-the-job training as required. Ensure compliance with company safety and quality standards, recommending improvements where necessary. The Ideal Candidate Minimum 5 years' experience as a Service Engineer or Technician. Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge across refrigeration and air conditioning systems. Ammonia/CO? awareness (training can be provided for the right candidate). NVQ Level 2/3 qualification or equivalent experience. Flexible approach, with willingness to work overtime and take part in call-out rota. Excellent communication skills and ability to manage workloads effectively.
