Overview

REMOTE Python Software/Data Engineer — Up to £160,000 Base (+ Bonus). Location: REMOTE.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable applications using Python to support data ingestion, transformation, and visualization pipelines critical to quant research and trading strategies.
• Work closely with product managers to understand requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and enhance the trading platform’s functionality and performance.
• Focus on improving system performance and ensuring high availability of trading systems, with an emphasis on efficient Python coding practices.
• Develop tools for the research team, with a focus on adopting new technologies including AI/ML methods.

Key Requirements

• Degree in Computer Science or STEM-based subjects.
• 4+ years of experience in a relevant role such as Python Software Engineer or Data Engineer.
• Proficiency in modern software development practices, including version control and agile development methodologies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration.
• Demonstrated enthusiasm for ongoing learning and a proactive attitude towards adopting new technologies.
