Join to apply for the Repair Centre Engineer E1 role at SCC3 days ago Be among the first 25 applicantsJoin to apply for the Repair Centre Engineer E1 role at SCCWe are actively building diverse teams and welcome applications from everyone.Role: Repair Centre Engineer E1Location: Birmingham (SCC operate hybrid working, which comprises of a mix of office and home working)Contract Type: TemporarySalary Package: £23,809.50 per annum pro-rata.Hours: 9.00 am – 5.30 pm Monday – FridayInterview Process: 2-stage processWhy SCC?An inclusive workplaceExcellent package: solid basic and company benefitsHybrid working & core hours in line with role requirementsCareer development and life-long learning opportunitiesOpportunity to join Europe's largest privately-owned IT CompanyRole PurposeProvide a professional repair to a variety of hardware and peripherals within SCC Repair Centre.Security clearance or the willingness to apply is required for this role.Key ResponsibilitiesTo assist the Management teams in the daily running of the operation, through the above and any other duties as necessary.Diagnose and repair devices such as but not limited to, PC’s, Laptops, Printers, retail equipment etc.Ability to repair devices at component level.Capable of supporting other departments as and when required.Update relevant business systems to the required standards and in line with agreed processes.Be compliant with management system policies, company policies & guidelines and take responsibility for health & safety in the workplace.To be approachable and accepting of Training requirements in relation to the role and operation.To maintain the skills and knowledge required within the team to perform the role to the required standard.Ability to handle equipment of varying weights and sizes, in line with manual handling guidelines and training provided.Must be able to embrace new technologies and adapt to change.To undertake Health and Safety activities commensurate with post and or SCC Group Health and Safety Policy.Skills And ExperienceCareful and precise handling of equipment to ensure high quality repairs.Experience in electronics repair or technical maintenance environment.Familiarity with diagnostic tools and repair techniques.Accreditations to repair Tier1 Product repairs e.g. HP/Lenovo & Dell.Ability to identify and resolve faults using standard diagnostic tools.About UsSCC is Europe's largest privately-owned IT business, based out of the new £7m HQ office in Birmingham and we help clients succeed through IT transformation and exceptional customer experiences.
