Are you ready to take your engineering skills to the next level? At Finning (UK) Ltd , we’re looking for a passionate and dedicated Preventative Maintenance Engineer to join our dynamic team. Position Overview
As a Preventative Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with our controller to ensure that our equipment is always operational and ready for our customers. Your role will involve:
- Timely and efficient maintenance: Conduct routine and preventative maintenance servicing and machine inspections.
- Safety ambassador: Promote safety for yourself and our customers while servicing our products.
- Problem solver: Identify potential issues that may affect equipment availability and perform minor repairs as needed.
What You’ll Do
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Preventative Maintenance Servicing: Carry out routine servicing in line with manufacturer guidelines (75%)
- Machine Inspection: Perform visual and mechanical analysis to highlight developing issues (20%)
- Minor Repairs: Complete minor repairs and installations as identified (5%)
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
- A basic knowledge of key product elements: Engines, Hydraulics, Powertrain, and Vehicle Electrics/Electronics.
- Experience in a related engineering function (around 3 years) or a formal apprenticeship qualification.
- A full driving license held for at least 2 years (subject to a DVLA check).
Working Conditions
This is a field-based role with a working pattern of 43 hours per week , Monday to Friday, including one Saturday every three weeks at an overtime rate. We offer flexible start and finish times to help you maintain a healthy work-life balance!
