Carbon60 is seeking a talented Safety and Environment Engineer to join their client based in Portsmouth. As the Safety and Environment Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with UK MOD Safety and Environmental processes.

The Safety and Environment Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining Safety and Environmental Management Plans (SEMP) and Safety and Environmental Cases (SECR) in accordance with industry standards. You will chair internal and external Project Safety and Environmental Committee meetings, providing expert advice and guidance to project teams.

This role is based at our Portsmouth site and is subject to UK National Security Clearance.

Development and maintenance of Safety and Environmental Management Plans (SEMP), Safety and Environmental Cases (SECR) in accordance with UK MOD Safety and Environmental processes. Chair internal / external Project Safety and Environmental Committee meetings. Support the development of products to meet the requirement of EU Directives including the delivery of technical files and Declarations of Conformity. Undertaking / facilitating required Safety and Environmental analysis. Provide advice, guidance and expertise to project and product teams, acting as focal point for all project Safety, Environmental and Product Regulatory compliance matters.Skills and experience
