Key Responsibilities:
Own, maintain, and develop Safety Cases for in-service assets and equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory and organisational standards. Monitor, interpret, and apply relevant legislation, standards, and regulatory requirements throughout the asset lifecycle. Act as the primary point of contact with certifying and regulatory authorities for compliance-related matters. Identify and assess engineering compliance risks, implementing effective mitigation strategies. Support design, modification, and operational activities by integrating compliance requirements. Plan and conduct audits, inspections, and compliance reviews, resolving findings promptly. Develop and improve compliance processes, guidance documents, and training materials. Investigate and resolve compliance-related technical issues, including root cause analysis and corrective actions.
Job Requirements:
Chartered Engineer (Engineering Council) or equivalent qualification, or an engineering degree with progression towards Chartered status. Experience in marine design and safety assurance. Proven experience in Safety Case development and regulatory or classification society compliance. Leadership and staff management experience. Project management experience is desirable.
