OverviewThe Sales Engineer will work with the Direct Sales and Alliance teams to provide technical support during the sales cycle for our ITTS solutions. The role acts as the bridge between sales, product, professional services, and support, using technical expertise to deliver solutions that meet customer needs. The Senior Sales Engineer will report to the Sales Engineering Manager - Europe. More specifically you will:ResponsibilitiesProvide superior domain expertise around ITTS solutionsMaintain expert level understanding of functionality and technical architecture of our productsAssist in the client discovery process to uncover unforeseen challenges and desired solution architecture; review discovery questionnaires to ensure customer landscape knowledge is documented and sales opportunities are identifiedDevelop a firm understanding of customer needs, pain points, and requirements around ITTS and align Sovos solutions to fulfill those needsWork closely with Sovos Sales to conduct sales and solutions presentationsCollaborate with Professional Services and product functions to ensure a successful onboarding post-saleMaintain and continually improve demonstration capabilities to present a compelling narrative of key features and benefitsConduct in-depth technical presentations and product demonstrations to prospects and clientsAct with integrity and demonstrate ethical behavior with all stakeholdersTake full responsibility for internal and external customer satisfactionDemonstrate self-awareness and commitment to personal development and learningFocus on process improvement, optimize sales workflows, and drive efficiency to enhance revenue growth and customer satisfactionDevelop and lead training sessions both within and outside the Sales Engineering departmentServe as a subject matter expert for the creation of RFP and RFI responses for prospective new clients; interact effectively with teammates, colleagues, and customersQualificationsBachelor's in a related field, or equivalent combination of experience and educationMinimum 1 year of Sales Engineer experience or equivalentStrategic mindset toward business outcomes as well as the ability to manage day-to-day details and deadlinesStrong teamwork orientation with a history of collaboration in a fast-paced environmentAbility to manage multiple projects and prioritiesThorough knowledge of MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)High level of business ethics and discretionSelf-motivated with a strong drive to succeedSolid knowledge of different communication protocols (e.g., APIs, SFTP, AS2) and delivery formats (e.g., IDOC, EDIFACT, XML, UBL)Excellent verbal and written communication skills in EnglishMultiple language skills preferredModerate travel required for client meetings, trade shows, Sovos events, and special projectsWhat Sovos Offers YouAn opportunity to work with a global teamBi-Weekly Meeting Free DaysMentoring ProgramsGlobally recognised Training and Development programsBenefitsSovos is an equal opportunity employer committed to providing an environment that celebrates diversity and where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants and employees.
