About The Role

Are you a technically skilled engineer with a passion for renewable energy and experience in consultative sales? Alignment Search And Selection is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a leading organisation in the wind turbine sector for a Sales Engineer with a strong engineering background in renewable energy equipment.

This is a consultative sales role requiring both technical expertise and commercial acumen. The successful candidate will engage with clients to provide tailored, technically sound solutions, supported by an in-depth understanding of wind turbine systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities within the wind energy sector.
• Provide technically led sales consultations to clients, understanding their needs and aligning solutions accordingly.
• Manage the full sales cycle, including technical proposal development, negotiation and aftersales support.
• Liaise closely with internal engineering teams to ensure alignment of technical solutions with customer requirements.
• Travel throughout the UK and internationally to attend client meetings, site visits and industry events.
  
  

• A proven technical background in the engineering of renewable energy equipment, ideally with direct wind turbine experience.
• Previous experience in a sales engineering, technical sales or business development role.
• Strong consultative sales and communication skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  
  

• Competitive base salary of £55,000 to £70,000, dependent on experience
