Overview

Sales & Project Support Engineer role at Bühler Group. You will report to the Senior Team Manager - Quotations, Order process & PE, and you will establish project inspection criteria, quotations, project designs and ensure proper implementation of project engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop project objectives by reviewing proposals and collaborating with sales and project teams.
• Prepare quotations and cost estimates for machinery supply and projects.
• Lead the creation and review of engineering design documents, including process flow diagrams, site plans, and detailed drawings.
• Produce AutoCAD layouts, detail drawings, and flow sheets; conduct site visits as needed.
• Liaise with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to clarify technical requirements and ensure equipment suitability.
• Coordinate project handover meetings between teams and support adherence to client review procedures.
• Plan and monitor project schedules, sequencing procurement activities and resolving issues to ensure timely delivery.
• Enforce safety standards and maintain a clean working environment through method statements and risk assessments.
• Manage small projects and support team members as required.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or industrial engineering or minimum qualification at HND level.
• Demonstrable experience in machine layout drafting (2D/3D) in AutoCAD.
• Ability to interpret and create accurate and detailed engineering drawings: experience preparing process flow diagrams, installation and building indication drawings from layout.
• Proficient in computer-aided design (CAD) and 3D modelling software.
• Experience with detailed mechanical design of plant systems such as pneumatic conveying and aspiration diagrams from defined client specification; includes creating an isometric diagram of pneumatic scheme and associated documentation including BOM and installation drawings.
• Knowledge of universal drafting standards.
• Experience generating quotations.
• Strong communication skills at all levels, proactive and customer focused.
• Attention to detail, excellent numerical capabilities and reliable.

Desirable Qualifications

• Full UK Driving licence
• Experience using SAP
• MS 365
