Sales Solutions Engineer - Channels, EMEA

New Today

What You Will Do Daily:

  • Internal Alignment & Proactive Partner Enablement Aligning with their sales counterpart, the Partner Manager. They review the partner pipeline, discuss any technical roadblocks partners are facing in current deals, and strategize on which partners need focused technical enablement in the coming weeks. This ensures that technical and sales efforts are perfectly in sync.
  • Partner Enablement Session This is a core activity. The PSE leads a virtual and in person technical training session for partners. This could include deep dives into the latest product release, new API endpoints and integration best practices. The goal is self-sufficiency: coaching the partner's team on how to deliver effective product demonstrations and handle common technical objections themselves.
  • Deal Support & Strategy The PSE works with partner's Solutions Engineer on qualification and evaluation of Sonar products. The PSE acts as an expert resource, helping the partner's SE architect a tailored solution, anticipate complex technical questions, and position the joint value proposition effectively. You aren't leading the customer call, but you are ensuring the partner is perfectly prepared to do so.
  • Asset Creation & Focused Work Developing scalable resources to avoid answering the same questions repeatedly. The PSE dedicates time to creating reusable assets for the entire partner network, such as writing a standardized demo script, building a code sample for a common integration, or recording a short video tutorial on a complex feature.
  • Monitoring Partner Engagement Ensure partners are staying on top of their learning; may include managing and evaluating certification and badging programs.
  • Strategic Initiatives & Internal Feedback Joint Solution Design with a Technology Partner: the PSE meets with engineers from a technology partner to architect a new integration, defining the scope and building a business case for shared value.
  • Internal Feedback Loop with Product Management The PSE acts as the voice of the partner ecosystem to the internal product team, consolidating feedback about missing features and presenting use cases to help prioritize the roadmap.
  • Planning & Follow-up Documenting action items from meetings, sending follow-up resources to the partners trained, and maintaining the Partner Enablement Plan.

The Experience You Will Need:

  • Some practical experience in software development or DevOps engineering is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with local and cloud-based software deployment platforms and technologies, including Linux, Windows, Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, Azure.
  • Passion for technology and successful customer outcomes.
  • Ability to dive into complex technical problems, perform troubleshooting, develop solutions, and articulate them in verbal and written form.
  • Proven ability to work in a team, give and receive feedback, and share knowledge.
  • A can-do attitude: challenging the status quo, leading and contributing to key improvements and innovations.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
  • Excellent English, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Additional languages - German, Spanish, and French are highly desirable.
