OverviewSC Cleared Network Engineer | Cisco | Palo Alto | NSX-T | Defence | Contract. SR2 is supporting a consultancy partner on a multi-year project and we're looking for an experienced Network Engineer to join the dedicated product team building and supporting a highly secure, state-of-the-art digital platform. This role will focus on designing, building, and maintaining secure on-prem network infrastructure, collaborating with security, platform, and architecture teams to deliver solutions in a highly regulated environment.ResponsibilitiesDesign, implement, and optimise secure on-premises network infrastructureConfigure, manage, and troubleshoot Cisco switches/routers, Palo Alto firewalls, Fortigate firewalls, and NSX-TBuild and maintain both physical and virtualised network environmentsSupport high availability, scalability, and performance across the network estatePrepare and deliver detailed technical design documentation and knowledge managementCollaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new solutions and meet evolving business needsEnsure compliance with governance, change control, and security accreditation processesSkills & Experience Required3+ years' experience as a Network Engineer in secure or regulated environmentsStrong knowledge of switching, routing, firewalls, VLANs, VNets, BGP, and software-defined networkingHands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, NSX-T, and Fortigate technologiesProven troubleshooting skills and ability to deliver pragmatic solutions in complex environmentsFamiliarity with scripting for automation (e.g. PowerShell, Bash, Python, Perl)Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skillsProfessional certifications (e.g. CCNA, CCNP, CCDP) highly desirableThe DetailsContract role - long-term programmeRate: Market rate (Inside IR35)Location: Hybrid with secure site access requiredClearance: Active SC clearance requiredStart: ASAPIf you're a Network Engineer with strong on-premises expertise and experience working in secure environments, apply now for immediate consideration #J-18808-Ljbffr
