We are seeking

2 x SC Cleared Senior Firmware (FPGA) Engineers

to join a leading defence technology organisation in Edinburgh. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge airborne applications, developing high-performance firmware solutions. Key Responsibilities Design and develop innovative FPGA firmware solutions using

VHDL .

Verify designs using

VHDL

or

SystemVerilog/UVM .

Analyse system-level documents and derive detailed firmware requirements.

Implement high-speed interface design & integration (PCIe, DDR3, Ethernet).

Specify and manage complex timing and area constraints for efficient FPGA place and route.

Support system-related verification, integration, and debugging.

Work to structured firmware design processes (eg, RTCA DO-254 or similar).

Essential Skills & Experience Degree in

Electronics/Electrical Engineering

(or equivalent), ideally specialising in FPGA/Digital techniques.

Proven FPGA design experience with

VHDL .

Familiarity with

SystemVerilog/UVM

verification.
