OverviewJoin Our Rapidly Growing Renewable Energy Team as a SCADA Engineer. We are at the forefront of renewable energy innovation, experiencing rapid growth in our solar farm projects, microgrids, and district heating networks. Based in Welwyn, Cambridge, or Central London, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless integration and performance of our renewable energy projects.As a SCADA Engineer, you will have the opportunity to contribute to project delivery and system integration across our renewable energy portfolio.ResponsibilitiesProject Handover Management: Lead the handover of projects to clients by coordinating activities and meticulously managing the collation and quality control of output documentation.Design Excellence: Review contractual Employer's Requirements and Specifications to inform system design, ensuring it aligns with our clients' needs.Procurement Support: Collaborate with our Procurement team by providing guidance on processes and procedures for sourcing solutions.System Architecture: Define and review SCADA system architecture, coordinating essential interfaces with subsystems such as DNO and customer substations, SCADA suppliers, and PPC suppliers to ensure smooth operations and compliance with industry norms, regulations, and contractual obligations.Communication Systems: Design and define communication systems architecture, coordinating interfaces with various subsystems, including LAN, cybersecurity requirements, and bandwidth requirements.Comprehensive Documentation: Prepare detailed design documents, including communications and signals matrices, calculation notes, signal lists, IP mapping, external gateway signal lists, cable connection schedules, and block diagrams.On-Site Expertise: Assist with on-site activities related to monitoring equipment and SCADA system implementation, commissioning, and operation to guarantee optimal performance.Contractual Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all relevant contractual requirements, safeguarding the success of each project.Skills, Qualifications & ExperienceElectrical Engineering Background: Hold a degree or diploma in Electrical Engineering to provide the technical expertise required for this role.Proposal Development: Ability to interpret complex customer specifications and develop proposals that align with project objectives.Control Panel Design: Working knowledge of control panel design to ensure the efficiency of system components.Effective Communication: Strong communication skills to liaise with multidisciplinary teams and clients, ensuring clarity in all interactions.IT Proficiency: Proficient in IT tools, with a focus on MS Excel, to facilitate data management and analysis.BenefitsPrivate healthCar allowance or company vehicleCompany share scheme2 paid volunteering days a yearCycle to work schemeEmployee assistance programmeWho are we?EQUANS is a world leader in energy services with nearly 100,000 employees working in more than 50 countries, with an annual turnover of over 17 billion euros.
