Section Engineer – HighwaysHome » Highways » Section Engineer – HighwaysSalary: £280 - 320pdLocation: CambridgeshireRegion: East MidlandsOur client is looking for an Experienced Section Engineer to work within the Cambridgeshire area.The contract runs for at least 3 months with the view to ongoing.£280 – 320pdThe work will be on the A14 Improvement Scheme whichis one of the largest road projects in the UK, stretching over 21 miles between Huntingdon and Cambridge.Responsibilities:Managing the sub-contractors and overseeing the Site Engineers on site.Assisting the Sub Agent/Site Agent on the scheme.Reviewing, amending and writing relevant method statements and risk assessments.Carrying out quality inspections and ensure your section meets expected quality standards. and deadlines accordinglyProviding liaison between the Sub Agent and client on site.Producing ITPs and as build surveys.Qualifications/Requirements for a Section Engineer:Previous experience working on a Major Highways Project and working for a Tier 1 contractor.HND or Degree in Civil Engineering.Previously worked as a Section Engineer or Senior Site Engineer.Strong quality assurance experience and have proven ability to write method statements/risk assessments.
