Role Overview
As a Section/Site Engineer, you’ll manage all engineering operations across a defined section of a high-profile civil schemes. You’ll combine technical expertise with strong leadership, ensuring work is delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Engineering Control & Setting Out: Oversee all setting-out and surveying activities, providing guidance to the site team and subcontractors.
*
Quality Management: Develop and implement robust Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) to maintain compliance with project design and specifications.
*
Team Leadership: Line-manage and mentor Site Engineers, Graduates, and Trainees, fostering professional growth.
*
Health, Safety & Environment: Champion the highest HSE standards, adhering to company policies
*
Design Coordination: Review drawings, raise RFIs, and propose solutions in collaboration with designers and subcontractors.
*
Temporary Works: Take responsibility for temporary works design, approvals, and safe implementation.
*
Planning & Resources: Work closely with the Site Agent to plan and allocate resources effectively.
*
Records & Reporting: Maintain accurate site diaries, resource allocations, as-built data, and other documentation using AutoCAD.
What You’ll Bring

Strong background in civil engineering and workforce supervision,
*
Proven competence in setting out a wide range of civil works.
*
Ability to create and execute procurement schedules, and complete takeoffs.
*
Skilled in reviewing technical documents and using AutoCAD for planning and measurement.
*
Highly organised, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities while remaining focused on key deliverables.
*
Collaborative, proactive mindset with the flexibility to embrace and drive change.
Essential Qualifications
*
Relevant CSCS card.
*
Experience preparing and implementing drawings and specifications.
*
Strong understanding of surveying and engineering control.
Desirable Certifications
*
Temporary Works Coordinator accreditation.
*
SMSTS or SSSTS
