All four partners have specialist expertise in the design, construction, operation, financing and maintenance of railway networks, including the construction of one of Europe’s latest high speed rail projects.We are seeking to recruit a Section Engineer to join our team based in Wendover, Buckinghamshire. The Section Engineer manages junior engineers and assists the Sub Agent in construction operations. You will report to the Sub Agent and supervise the site engineering team from construction to close out. You will assist with temporary works design schemes and liaise with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to allocate labour, plant and materials to carry out works activities to the required standards, programme and budget.ResponsibilitiesManage the site setting-out team and be responsible for the performance and development of the Site Engineers.Identify and resolve technical problems on site in liaison with the Sub-Agent.Monitor and coordinate subcontractors to ensure works are completed to contractual requirements.Assist with production of programmes, progress reports, resource and cost plans, and contribute to financial forecasting.Ensure the team have current information and resources required to carry out duties.QualificationsHNC/Degree (Construction/Civil Engineering related) or equivalent and working towards institute membership (ICE).Demonstration of knowledge and practical application of Site Engineering activities combined with construction supervision skills.Experience in utilities, structures or drainage is essential.Must have own transport to attend site(s) in remote areas; Full driving licence required.Competencies: SMSTS or SSSTS; CSCS White, White-Yellow, Red - Experienced, Black - Manager or Gold - Supervisor.About UsEKFB brings together international, market leading technical expertise from four civil engineering and construction companies: Eiffage, Kier, Ferrovial Construction and BAM Nuttall.
