Role: Section Engineer Location: London Pay Rate: £350 - £400 per day (Umbrella PAYE)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Perform engineering and the technical advisor role for the packages of work that are assigned to you or within your allocated section of the scheme, providing engineering direction to subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives within your area of responsibility. Manage a team of graduates and apprentices, providing direction, guidance and mentoring; building effective relationships and support junior staff in their development. Set out and determine the location for infrastructural installations and apply designs and plans to provide engineering assistance to site activities. Develop, prepare and review safe systems of work, method statements, permits and quality documentation; ITPs, QRPs and the like. Ensure that all materials used and work performed are in accordance with the specifications Oversee the selection and requisition of materials Manage, monitor and interpret the contract design documents Liaise with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project Manage interactions between designers and on-site team to resolve outstanding design and technical queries during the construction phase.
