Security Engineer – 3 Month Contract – Hybrid – London – Proofpoint – Outside IR35 My client, a leading global organisation, is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to act as the subject matter expert on a critical email security transformation project — migrating from Mimecast to Proofpoint. The ideal candidate will bring deep, hands-on expertise in Proofpoint, including policy creation, configuration, and the ability to deliver effective knowledge transfer to internal teams. Skills and Technology used by the Security Engineer: Must have Proven experience with Proofpoint, configuration and enhancements. A strong background within email security. Strong troubleshooting and attention to detail. Key Responsibilities of the Security Engineer: Configure and fine-tune Proofpoint policies to meet security requirements across multiple European regions. Deliver hands-on support throughout the transition from Mimecast to Proofpoint, ensuring a smooth migration process. Assist in the deployment and validation of advanced modules, including TAP Isolation, Account Takeover Protection, and Encryption. Continuously monitor Proofpoint logs and play an active role in enhancing the company's IP reputation. Engage with end users in workshops and security sessions to promote stronger cyber resilience across the business. Facilitate DMARC enrolment and validation within Proofpoint to strengthen domain protection and prevent spoofing. The successful
