Job Title: Security Engineer Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

About the Role: The Wiggett Group is seeking a skilled and experienced Security Engineer to oversee planned works, repairs, maintenance, and reactive works for security systems across our social housing contracts. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and security of our properties by installing, servicing, and maintaining security systems, including intercoms, access control, CCTV, and intruder alarms .

Key Responsibilities: Carry out planned installation, maintenance, and repair of security systems, including intercoms, access control, Door Entry Systems, and CCTV. Diagnose and rectify faults in security systems as part of reactive maintenance. Respond to emergency call-outs to troubleshoot and repair faulty security equipment. Ensure all works comply with current industry regulations and health & safety standards . Conduct system testing and commissioning following installation or repairs. Provide technical advice and support to clients and colleagues. Maintain accurate records and reports on completed works. Work closely with other engineers and site teams to coordinate work schedules effectively. Stay updated on new security technologies and industry best practices.

Requirements: Proven experience as a Security Engineer , with expertise in intercoms, access control, Door Entry Systems, and CCTV. Strong background in fault-finding, reactive repairs, and installation . Knowledge of industry regulations and health & safety standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team . Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail . Strong communication and customer service skills. A valid UK driving license Relevant qualifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ, FIA, or equivalent certifications in security systems) are desirable.
