Black & White Engineering is hiring a Senior Acoustics Engineer to pioneer a brand-new department focused on external noise control for data centres. If you haven\'t worked on data centre projects previously you will be able to use your previous experience of complex commercial building projects.

This isn’t just another engineering role. You’ll be at the forefront of designing solutions that meet global noise regulations, using industry-standard tools like SoundPLAN and CadnaA. From modelling layouts to advising on acoustic louvres and perimeter walls, your work will directly influence how major data centre projects come to life.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead the development of a new external noise control department for data centres.
• Leverage experience from complex commercial building projects to inform data centre acoustic design.
• Model layouts and assess noise impact using industry-standard tools (e.g., SoundPLAN, CadnaA).
• Advise on acoustic louvres, perimeter walls, and other mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with clients and consultants to shape project approaches and outcomes.
