We're looking for a Senior AIT (Assembly, Integration & Test) Lead Engineer to join a high-performing mission team. In this critical role, you’ll lead spacecraft and payload testing operations from initial integration to environmental testing—ensuring systems are ready to deliver in orbit.
You’ll work at the forefront of innovation, overseeing complex testing campaigns and supporting cutting-edge satellite projects with a global impact.
Responsibilities:
Drive the planning, execution, and control of spacecraft or payload AIT and EVT (Environmental Validation Testing) phases.
Lead testing activities and manage multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Act as a spacecraft system operator and provide expert-level insight on AIT activities.
Own test campaigns from system-level planning to hands-on delivery.
Collaborate closely with Project Managers, AIT Managers, and Systems Engineers.
Liaise directly with mission teams, internal stakeholders, and external customers.
Present at technical reviews and contribute to proposals for upcoming missions.
Define and manage test equipment and support infrastructure (electrical, mechanical, ground support systems).
Skills & Experience:
Degree or HND/HNC in an Engineering or Science discipline.
EU or Schengen country citizenship, with current or recent (within 5 years) EU security clearance.
Proven experience working with spaceflight hardware and integrated spacecraft testing
Strong background in test planning, scheduling, and verification/validation
Leadership of test teams in fast-paced and high-stakes environments.
Familiarity with EGSE systems and electronic/RF test equipment.
Understanding of materials and constraints in spaceflight environments.
Hands-on integration and testing expertise.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Highly organised with great attention to detail.
Able to work independently in dynamic and ambiguous situations.
