JOB –Senior Product Modeling and Structural Analysis Engineer

LOCATION – Glasgow

TERM- Permanent

SALARY - £45,000 - £60,000 per annum, dependent on experience

My client designs and manufactures bespoke metal and plastic products for UK and global customers. They are looking for a Analysis Engineer to join their team in Glasgow on a permanent basis.

The Senior Design Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:

HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ / Degree qualified in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering / Mechanical/Electrical Design / Industrial Design / Engineering Design or similar 5 or more years’ industry experience ideally working in a similar industrial design / development role within a manufacturing environment Proficient with using ideally Inventor or Fusion 360 software for design Strong FEA/FMEA skills and experience Confident knowledge of structural Analysis disciplines Strong experience with Stress & Strain Analysis, Heat Transfer Analysis Able to manage projects and work to deadlines and budgets Experienced designing products from concept to production Able to maintain technical documentation and BOM entry Knowledge of different materials such as sheet metal fabrication Innovative and passionate about design Be technically minded with a head for problem solving Able to work well individually as well as part of a team
