Overview

This is an Insurtech scale-up looking for an Analytics Engineer to own scalable data models that power high impact decision making across the business. You will join a small but high performing analytics team responsible for data modelling, transformation, and stakeholder enablement. It is a hands-on, commercially focused role where you will work with product, marketing, and operations to define metrics, clean data, and build the foundations for a data driven culture.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build and maintain robust data models and transformations using dbt, Snowflake, and Looker
  • Own integrations from multiple third party sources (Salesforce, Segment, Amplitude, Google Ads)
  • Translate business requirements into well structured metrics and scalable data solutions
  • Enable self serve analytics and empower stakeholders to make smarter decisions
  • Maintain documentation of key modelling decisions and architectural frameworks
  • Contribute to the improvement of the wider data platform, operations, and governance
  • Ensure data quality, security, and reliability across models, pipelines, and data shares

Requirements

  • Solid experience in an Analytics Engineer or similar role within BI or Data
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience with modern data stacks (Snowflake and dbt are a must)
  • Hands on experience with Looker or similar BI tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Strong commercial acumen - you understand both data and the business problems it's solving
  • Familiarity with version control (Git); Python skills are a bonus
  • Comfortable working autonomously in fast paced, unstructured environments
  • Interest in how AI can enhance productivity and streamline data work
