At Praktika.ai we are building a fully automated language tutorship experience powered by generative AI Avatars. We are a global team of 50 innovators aiming to deliver efficient and engaging learning experiences for billions of students by bridging learning apps and human tutors. We recently raised $30 million in Series-A funding and are growing our team.

We are looking for a Senior Mobile Android Engineer who is passionate about crafting elegant, high-performance mobile experiences and thrives in an iterative, fast-paced product environment. You will deliver a modern native Android app from scratch and tackle challenging problems, including audio, AI services, and smooth UI. You will take ownership of major parts of the mobile application—from architecture to implementation—and collaborate closely with design, other Android and iOS engineers, Product, and AI teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of major parts of the Android mobile application from architecture to implementation.
  • Deliver a modern, high-performance native Android app and iterate in a fast-paced product environment.
  • Work on features involving audio, AI services, and user interface polish.
  • Collaborate with design, Android engineers, iOS engineers, Product, and AI teams to align on product goals and technical direction.

Qualifications

  • Language & UI: Kotlin, Jetpack Compose
  • Architecture: MVVM (or MVI), modular multi-module setup
  • Build & Tooling: Gradle Kotlin DSL, CI/CD automation

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Flutter or other multiplatform technologies
  • CI/CD: GitHub Actions, Trunk-Based Development
  • Performance debugging: LeakCanary, StrictMode
