Senior Application Support Engineer - SQL, Azure

We're looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to play a critical role in a Tier 4 support team, working closely with R&D and product teams to solve high-impact technical issues and enhance the stability and performance of a cloud-based platform.

What You'll Be Doing

Providing advanced (Tier 4) support for complex technical issues escalated by Tier 2 and 3 teams

Troubleshooting production and test system issues via logs, traces, telemetry, and SQL analysis

Scripting solutions and automating tasks using PowerShell and similar tools

Simulating customer issues in local/test environments for detailed root cause analysis

Collaborating with the Cloud Ops and R&D teams to deliver fixes, tools, and documentation

Helping improve internal processes and response times through tooling and knowledge-sharing

Supporting the UK customer base with occasional flexibility to liaise with US counterparts

What We're Looking For

Strong SQL skills for data analysis and report creation

Cloud support experience in a technical role

Working knowledge of PowerShell scripting (report automation, system tasks)

Understanding of C# (not necessarily coding, but enough to troubleshoot and advise)

Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure or other cloud environments

Familiarity with APIs (REST/SOAP) and SOA applications

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills; methodical approach

Excellent communication skills - written, verbal, and collaborative

Eligible for security clearance
