About the role
We have a new opportunity for a Senior Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Oxford or Cambridge.
Our offices provide local project support with expertise in complex sectors like Science, Research, and Healthcare. We are focused on growth and offer stability, opportunity, and a collaborative, innovative culture with hybrid working and a 9-day fortnight.

As a Senior Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will lead large, complex projects, manage stakeholders, monitor metrics, motivate teams, and optimize resources.
You can expect to:
- Be client-facing, attend meetings, and communicate project briefs effectively.
- Develop strategic concepts ensuring solutions meet the brief and standards.
- Ensure technical quality in your work, independently or as part of a team.
- Support and guide junior staff to develop their skills.
- Collaborate with the firm-wide group to share knowledge and gain experience.
- Monitor project finances, resources, and deliverables.
- Innovate and research new working methods to stay competitive.
- Maintain a strong industry reputation and adhere to quality and risk procedures.
About you
To succeed, you should have:
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer or similar, with a record of delivering complex projects.
- Knowledge of mechanical services such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning.
- Experience in multidisciplinary environments, with strong communication skills and teamwork.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, or similar software.
- Self-awareness, openness, and collaboration spirit.
- Familiarity with British Standards.
- Consultancy experience, understanding the impact of acoustics, fire engineering, and modeling on design.
