Overview11kV SAP - Senior Authorised PersonsReports to: Electrical Operations ManagerLocation: North UK, projects nationwide (some overnight stays will be required)Utility Line are currently recruiting for a Senior Authorised Persons, authorized up to 11kV. We are a fast-growing specialist in connecting businesses to the electricity grid at scale. We are buzzing with opportunity and very much part of the shift to net zero.The main purpose of the role is to provide SAP services on a range of Electrical Grid Connections, across a range of DNO and IDNO sites nationwide for our Commercial, Residential and EV charging point projects throughout the UK. This is a great opportunity to join an established and ambitious team. Responsibilities
Voltage levels required 11kV and above Nationwide coverage across multiple DNOs & IDNOs Type of works include: Petrol forecourts, offices, car parks, residential property developments, public buildings, Marinas, Bus Stations and on street charging infrastructure The main duties will be taking responsibility for our clients private HV network and providing switching services and issuing permits to meet customer needs and contractual responsibilities Ability to undertake hands on maintenance activities and manage remedial / project works in various locations throughout the UK Organise and execute HV & LV switching, isolation, earthing, identification of the point of work and issue safety documentation duties on HV networks Ensure all records of completed works are submitted and updated
Qualification / Skill Requirements
Experience of providing the above duties in similar networks Authorised as a 11kV SAP able to work on networks Prepared to travel, some overnight stays will be required Ability to undertake operational, technical and safety from the system duties with the construction, maintenance and commissioning of projects Testing and commissioning of cables and equipment Positive safety culture and strong technical awareness Sound technical knowledge to support direct labour teams DNO Authorisation - up to 11kV Possession of a current SAP certificate on an existing DNO system HNC in Electrical Engineering EUSR Card Cable Identification Street Works Qualification IOSH, NEBOSH, SMSTS or other safety related qualification 3 years + experience in a similar industry
