Due to continued growth, DXC Technology has a great opportunity for an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join our team in either our Erskine or Newcastle sites in a hybrid capacity.

Due to the nature of our business, successful candidates are required to be British Nationals with SC clearance or eligible for vetting.

Job Responsibilities:

• Automation of post-build tasks such as configuring SLES and RHEL servers based on environment and region.
• Setting up NFS mount points, updating network settings like bonding and MTU, applying kernel tuning parameters, configuring user limits and mail settings.
• Checking/adding users, adding SSH keys, checking disks, and automating other post-build tasks as required.
• Filesystem creation on free disk space, creating volume groups and logical volumes, and adding entries to fstab.

Skills and Experience Required:

• Several years of experience with strong knowledge of Ansible and Python.
• Linux server management and administration skills.
• Configuration experience on SLES and RHEL systems.

This role can be hybrid from either our Erskine or Newcastle site.
