Senior Backend Engineer (Remote within the UK)

Responsibilities

  • Work with Product to improve the compliance posture of the company
  • Build tools to enable user authentication, integration with compliance third-party providers: KYC, PEPS checks, etc.
  • Improve user onboarding by reducing friction and reducing churn, while maintaining the compliance posture
  • Improve data governance
  • Build both green-field microservices that handle specific functions, but also integrate with existing systems
  • Experience working with Kubernetes, Terraform & Docker images
  • Experience with a cloud-based platform (preferably AWS)
  • Programming language experience in PHP or GO
  • Familiarity with SAST and DAST tools
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines & how to maintain them
  • An understanding of Microservices and Event-Driven architecture
  • Interest in risk and compliance, and keeping up to date with the latest findings
  • Proven record of working in agile environments
  • Be able to work on your own or as part of a small team
  • Experience working with sensitive data and data governance
  • Self-driven, happy to take on challenges and upskill more junior team members
