Senior Backend Engineer

Leeds - 2x a week

Salary: £65k D.O.E

Fruition IT are working with a well-established tech-first business who are embarking on a complete technical transformation. This client is looking to bring in a team of Software Engineers to work on a bespoke software platform as part of the business growth.

You will be responsible for working on backend services, focusing on platform engineering and building CI/CD pipelines. You will be developing in Node.Js and Typescript, and will have a strong focus on AWS Services, such as EKS, Dynamo DB and S3.

What will I be doing?

  • Turn concepts and requirements into a bespoke software platform.
  • Work closely with the agile teams to meet software deliverable.
  • Support continuous integration to enhance deployment.
  • Build and deploy CI/CD pipelines.
  • Coaching and mentoring junior developers.
  • Developing backend software in Node.js and Typescript into a high load environment.
  • Working in an AWS environment.

Key requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years as a Software Engineer.
  • JavaScript development experience.
  • Strong experience with Node.JS.
  • Strong experience of Terraform.
  • Strong experience with AWS - such as EKS, Synamo DB and S3.
  • Understanding of JavaScript, Typescript and React on the frontend.
  • Strong experience of platform engineering, working with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong experience in microservices and REST APIs.
