Overview

An opportunity for an experienced Backend Software Engineer to join a talented Backend team focused on developing the core of a market-leading product range of cloud-distributed systems in a dynamic R&D environment. The role is suitable for someone who is passionate about writing high quality code, possesses outstanding technical ability, and enjoys collaborative work within a team structure.

Responsibilities

• You will be a key member of the Backend software engineering team in a mature agile environment.
• Contribute to developing, designing and maintaining backend ecosystems.
• Add capabilities, increase capacities, develop new features and maintain CI/CD systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Proficiency in Golang (main language) with experience in at least two of the following: Java, Python, Rust and C++ (previous experience in Golang not required).
• Experience with cloud-based distributed systems and service-oriented architectures is advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, a creative and inquisitive approach to problem solving, and a passion for emerging technologies such as AI and machine learning.

Hybrid Working

One to two days per week in London.

The Package

The base salary will be supplemented by bonuses, a generous car allowance (dependent on grade), private medical and dental cover, an excellent pension contribution plan and more.
