Overview

Kier Group – Abbot's Salford, England, United Kingdom. Senior Bridge Engineer role within Kier Transportation. Location: Salford / Penrith – remote working available, with travel to the office required. Contract: Permanent Full-time. Salary: £45,000 - £50,500 + private healthcare + matched pension + benefits.

Responsibilities

• Lead on developing scheme designs, reports, and technical documentation; deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.
• Carry out structural inspections and manage structural assessments as part of the Structures team.
• Contribute to the delivery of the programme of work by producing, developing and overseeing sound bridge design, assessment and maintenance solutions to meet client requirements within budget and timescale.
• Develop and design solutions in accordance with National design and assessment standards.
• Produce and oversee designs that comply with health and safety legislation, particularly the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations (CDM).
• Contribute to regular progress reporting to clients by communicating with line managers regarding progress against the planned programme.

What we are looking for

• Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE, MIStructE or equivalent).
• Experience in a similar role within bridge or highways disciplines.
• Proven experience in bridge design and assessment standards and methods of analysis.
• Experience in management and delivery of projects to programme and budget constraints.
