Job Title: Senior Bridge EngineerLocation: Hybrid working - based in Salford (required in the office one day per week)Pay Rate: £53 per hour (Position is Inside IR35)Contract Duration: 12 months, with the possibility of extending to 18 monthsWorking Hours: 40 hours per weekJob Summary:We are looking for a Senior Bridge Engineer with experience in bridge design and maintenance to join our clients team on a fixed-term contract. The successful applicant must be a Chartered Engineer and have a strong background in highways and bridge engineering in the UK.Main Duties and Responsibilities:·Manage and carry out the design, inspection, and assessment of highway bridges and related structures.·Review technical drawings, calculations, and reports to ensure they meet safety and design standards.·Prepare clear and accurate technical documents, reports, and specifications.·Work with clients, contractors, and other engineers to meet project deadlines and requirements.·Ensure work complies with national design standards, including the Design Manual for Roads and Bridges (DMRB) and Eurocodes.·Support less experienced team members by providing advice and guidance.·Help with planning project schedules and monitoring progress against targets.Essential Requirements:·Full Chartered Engineer (CEng/MIstructE) status with a recognised engineering institution.·Extensive experience in highways and bridge engineering, particularly in the UK.·Good understanding of current industry standards and practices.·Strong written and verbal communication skills.·Ability to manage your own workload and work independently.If you feel that you are right for this role technically, but the rate, location or seniority does not suit you specifically then please still feel free to send us your CV.
