Description

CCP Games is looking for a talented and passionate Senior Build Engineer to join our team in London building EVE Vanguard. We are a tight-knit team creating a new perspective into the rich universe of EVE Online using Unreal Engine 5. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, maintenance and optimisation of all our build pipelines. Reporting to the Lead Core Tech Engineer you will be a pivotal team member supporting and enabling all developers to achieve their best as efficiently as possible.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, maintaining and optimising our multi-platform build pipelines.
  • Managing and integrating symbols servers with various points of our build pipeline.
  • Managing and communicating the flow of changes in source control across multiple environments.
  • Working with developers to resolve and validate merge conflicts across multiple environments.
  • Communicating and coordinating releases (lockdown approvals, patches, etc) with colleagues of various disciplines.
  • Identify opportunities to improve and automate our processes.
  • Collaborating with developers to find solutions which improve their workflow and output.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest build systems and practices.
  • Working with QA to help triage build-time and runtime issues and their potential solutions.
  • Continually evaluating our build hardware for the best price to performance ratio.

Your Profile

  • Passionate about playing and building video games!
  • Proven professional experience of version control systems (ideally Perforce and Git).
  • Proven professional experience in constructing and managing build pipelines for multiple environments and platforms.
  • Proven professional experience using the Unreal build system to build clients and servers.
  • Proven professional experience writing and maintaining build scripts.
  • Proven professional experience with CI/CD concepts and tools such as TeamCity.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Attention to detail and interest in catching build issues.
  • A proactive attitude toward improving the build/release processes.
