Piper Maddox are working with leading company who are building a greener, more sustainable energy network to power homes, businesses, and communities with 100% renewable electricity. To help them achieve this, they are looking for a Senior Cable Engineer to lead critical projects and play a key role in the UK's transition to Net Zero.

As the engineering lead for cable systems, you'll be responsible for driving robust technical delivery from design to energisation, supporting multidisciplinary teams and ensuring compliance with UK standards. This role drives innovation, and will play a key part in the history of the energy transition.

Key Responsibilities:

* Own and manage cable design activities across multiple energy infrastructure projects

* Lead design reviews, compliance assessments, and CDM considerations

* Liaise with consultants, DNOs/TOs, NESO, and internal teams to enable efficient delivery

* Support internal policy creation and drive continuous improvement

Your Profile:

* Degree-qualified or experienced in electrical/mechanical engineering.

* Proven track record delivering cable design for grid-connected energy projects.

* Experience applying CDM and engineering standards in the UK network environment.

* Skilled communicator with excellent organisational and stakeholder management skills.
