Your Job as Senior Cable Installation Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Provide cable installation engineering expertise to Offshore Wind development projects in order to deliver key engineering assignments
  • Provide HSE leadership in the design and specification of offshore cable installation methodologies
  • Be accountable for individual projects in delivery phases to support the Installation Manager in overall Cable Installation package delivery across the BU Offshore portfolio
  • Responsible for project-specific engineering tasks within the development phase to understand and mitigate project-specific engineering risks
  • Supporting Operational Service in providing engineering skills to major operational wind farm replacement/maintenance campaigns
  • Contribute to the structural growth of the Transportation & Installation Engineering team by taking ownership in development work packages
  • Play a key role in developing project engineering competences
  • Develop your own competences both in project management as well as offshore installation methodologies

Qualifications

  • Degree in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • A minimum of 10 years' project engineering experience ideally in offshore installation context
  • Good knowledge of offshore installation equipment and systems
  • Strong commercial and project management mindset
  • Ability to identify and lead installation engineering topics - balancing technical, commercial and consenting imperatives
  • Good knowledge of the wind energy market
  • Good stakeholder management and strong interpersonal skills, enjoying an environment characterized by disciplinary and cultural diversity
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong intercultural awareness and willingness to work across borders
  • Enthusiastic about the potential of digitalization and self-propelled to implement the opportunities in the wind industry
