This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual with CAD experience and a background in machining or product development to progress within a forward-thinking business.\n \nKey Responsibilities\n\nDesigning and developing products using AutoDesk Inventor.\nCreating detailed technical drawings and specifications for manufacturing.\nWorking closely with the production team to ensure designs are manufacturable and cost-effective.\nReviewing and checking technical drawings to maintain high standards.\nProviding support to the manufacturing team as required.\nEnsuring all design and development work meets the company’s quality standards. \nRequirements\n\nProficiency in CAD software (AutoDesk Inventor ).\nStrong knowledge of metals and machining processes.\nGood understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing).\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nStrong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.\nExperience with AutoDesk Vault.\nPrevious experience in door or cabinet hardware design.\nDegree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar discipline.\nExperience with shop floor machining/manufacturing processes.\nKnowledge of creating BOMs (Bills of Materials) and technical documentation. \nBenefits\n\nA collaborative working environment with opportunities to grow and develop.\nEarly finish every Friday. \nIf this position is of interest to you, please contact Jodie Hodgson at Birmingham Pertemps today
