Senior Civil Design Engineer

Manchester - Hybrid (3 days onsite in a week). Open for Contract and Permanent. Contract: up to £440/day (outside IR35) | Permanent: up to £65,000 per annum.

Our client is a leading engineering design consultancy with a strong reputation in the UK utilities and rail sectors. They deliver innovative and sustainable solutions and value wellbeing, growth, and technical excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Produce design deliverables in line with technical and water company standards.
  • Identify efficient design solutions through scoping and site visits.
  • Direct and mentor CAD technicians, graduates, and junior designers.
  • Prepare design risk assessments, reports, and specifications.
  • Estimate hours required for design packages and support project planning.
  • Attend and present designs at ALM, KM, and other project meetings.

Qualifications

  • 10 years' design experience in the regulated water industry.
  • Experience with both clean water and wastewater infrastructure/non-infra designs.
  • Understanding of hydraulics, construction methods, and materials.
  • Knowledge of engineering drawing practices.
