Job Title: Senior / Principal Civil Engineer

Day Rate: £350 - £400 per day (outside IR35)

Location: Brighton

Type: 6-month Contract | Full-time | ASAP start

About the Role:

This role will involve the design and upgrading of wastewater treatment works, including:

Refurbishment and maintenance projects

Design of new treatment plants

Upgrades driven by population growth and new regulations (e.g. IED requirements, Final Enforcement Orders)

You'll be expected to work independently, applying hands-on expertise to ensure robust and practical engineering solutions.

About the Client:

Our client is a specialist consultancy delivering engineering design across the UK utilities sector. They are known for their technical capability, collaborative approach, and commitment to high standards of project delivery.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and deliver wastewater treatment design projects

Undertake refurb, maintenance, and upgrade designs

Ensure compliance with regulations and enforcement requirements

Work independently while contributing to a wider technical team

What Our Client is Looking For:

Proven hands-on experience in wastewater treatment design

Strong technical knowledge of refurbishment, upgrades, and new build schemes

Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively

Familiarity with regulatory drivers such as IED and FEO requirements
