Senior Civil Engineer – Drainage & Flood Risk

Are you an experienced Civil Engineer looking to take the next step in your career? My client, a leading engineering consultancy with a strong pipeline of infrastructure and development projects, is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join their growing London office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and deliver detailed designs for surface and foul water drainage systems, including SuDS (Sustainable Drainage Systems).
• Prepare and review Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs) in line with current planning policy and guidance.
• Produce high-quality technical documentation and support planning submissions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, local authorities, and regulators.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.

Requirements:

• A degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in drainage design and SuDS for residential, commercial, or infrastructure projects.
• Expertise in preparing Flood Risk Assessments.
• Proficiency in Civil 3D and MicroDrainage/InfoDrainage is essential.
• Good knowledge of UK design standards, legislation, and planning requirements.
• Chartered or working toward chartership with ICE or CIWEM (preferred).
