Your newpany Hays are working in partnership with an engineering consultancy located in North Belfast to recruit a Senior Civil Engineer for their Northern Ireland team. This consultancy provides a range of services in civil, structural, and geotechnical engineering design, serving sectors such as water, transportation, building, and infrastructure across Northern Ireland, Great Britain, and the Republic of Ireland. Your new role Seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Civil Engineer to join our client’s dynamic Water Team. This role offers the opportunity to work on innovative and impactful projects that are shaping the future of water management and sustainability.Key Responsibilities- Lead the planning, design, and implementation of water infrastructure projects.- Manage project teams to ensure timely and efficient project delivery.- Collaborate with clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders to achieve project goals.- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers.- Conduct site inspections and oversee construction activities.
What you'll need to succeed To be successful in the Senior Civil Engineering role, candidates must:
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in water resources engineering
  • Be proficient in using engineering software such as AutoCAD, Microstation, CIVIL3D, Naviswork and the like.
  • Have excellentmunication and interpersonal skills, along with strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach.
  • Be capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality designs on time and within budget.
